February Fun Layouts!

I have to say how wonderful it has been this month getting to play with so many different designers digital scrapbooking kits.
The best part is that some of these collide!  So, this week, not only did I get to do a Fresh Baked Layout as part of my Guest CT spot at Gingerscraps, I also was able to use Clever Monkey Graphics new kit Children's Museum!

So, first - it's the beginning of the week and I check the forum for what new goodies I get to pick from at Gingerscraps and what do I see, but a Book kit!!!!! Yay for me.  Cornelia Designs has created a Book-a-holic Collection.  There are so many different ways I could have gone with this - I am such a book get.  I have pictures of me at Book Conventions, getting Author autographs, pictures of my books, pictures of my kids reading, pictures of me reading - I could go on and on.  Here is the kit - Great right!!??
I decided to go with a combination of one of my favorite authors.  I was able to meet him twice - years apart and I brought the photo of him and I back in 1996 for him to sign.  So, it's a photo within a photo!
I will definitely be using this again and again!

I was able to use the FREE template from the Gingerscraps February Template Challenge to do this with, too!

So, on top of that, Tracey created this huge, super cute, Children's Museum kit!  It is so perfect.  It has over 170 elements that can be used for more than just visiting a Children's Museum.  You could also make pages of Science Fairs, Dinosaurs, Legos, Dental Visits, Music, Art, Bugs, Park days, Movies, Bubbles, and so much more!

We have visited quite a few museums, but one of my favorites was when we got to the Grand Opening of this Children's Museum.  It was sooo fun  I got carried away and have already done 2 layouts of it!

So cute, right!
But, the month isn't even over and I may have more to share ;)

Later Gator ~

Family Remembers!

Back in August of 2012, my Grandfather left us to join my Grandmother in heaven.  I miss him very much and such a momentous occasion is sometimes difficult to scrapbook about.  We took a ton of family photos at the Memorial.  Both graveside and at the luncheon afterwards, but they just sat in my computer.
When I saw this month's Buffet at Gingerscraps and the beautiful colors, roses, and antique items, I knew if was perfect.

I used the papers from Little Rad Trio's Rose Garden

The elements from Cathy K's Love You

and the template from Queen Wild Scraps Week by Week Vol2

You should totally go check them out!  I think they were perfect!

New CT for me at Clever Monkey

My birthday month continues and the fun keeps on rolling!  I was just notified that Tracey with Clever Monkey Graphics wants me to be part of her permanent  Creative Team!  She makes so many cute kits!
I did one using her Galactic Geek of Space Mountain back in November.

But her newest kit out is called Be Mine Valentine and I got to play with it right away and pulled out these older pics from 2011 of the sweetest kisses.

Check it out over at Gingerscraps or OScraps

It has been such a fun Birthday Month!  I can't wait for the fun to continue

My Birthday Treat Part 2!

So . . . I was already excited to be Guesting with Kellybell and no sooner does the month start, then I get an e-mail from one of my favorite Digital Scrapbooking Sites - Gingerscraps.  I had Guested for them back in December and they wanted me back for February!!

Being a Guest CT Member means that I get a work with something new from the site every week, plus "play" with some of their other specials like the Monthly Mix, Free With Purchase and Daily Download.

One of the first kits to come out for the Fresh Baked is a template set from Queen Wild Scraps called She's My Best Friend.  I paired with North Meets South's 100 Days of Happy kit to create this:
I also got to work Blue Heart Scraps new Me+You=Love Bundle to make these wonderful Valentine Cards for my kiddos.

Then, as part of the Monthly Mix, which is all about Best Friends, I did this fun Layout of how my cats are NOT friends.  It is the only pictures that I have them in the same room.  The best part about the Monthly Mix is that if you get it this month - it is only $5.25

Can't wait to continue this special month and share all the goodies that are helping me complete my scrapping goals!!

My Birthday Treat

I was laughing back in September when I realized that I had a Scrapbooking Guest Creative Team Spot lined up for every month until May!  How awesome is that??  All of the fun of getting to "play" with designers new digital scrapbooking supplies! Since they were all different designers, I really got to try out a bunch of styles!  Fall was Connie Prince, December  was Gingerscraps, January was Connie Prince again (love me some Connie), and then February brought Kellybell Designs.  How fun to have a Disney Designer during my birthday month!!  I was SO excited!  And then, right before my birthday, I got my first kit to play with - a Mouse Memories one!  I had this hole in my 2012 Family Album to put just 3 pages of our April Disneyland trip and had NO idea how to get a whole trip into 3 pages.  As soon as I saw her new pieces, I got excited.  Her templates were perfect, too!

This new pocket collection can be used for any pocket pages as well as traditional layouts. This collection is filled with cards, tags, balloons, mouse ears, castle silhouettes, arrows, buttons, flowers, papers, ribbons and bows. There’s also a huge pack of classic colored alphas and beautiful word art titles that combine several of the alpha styles.
Also new today is another 4-pack of pocket style templates. The templates are available in several file formats – PSD, TIFF, PAGE and PNGs.

Perfect, right??

Here is what I did with it

See - it was like my birthday treat - something just for me ;)

You should go check them out at Kellybell Designs
